The Vox Ignis Chamber Choir invites you on a journey together with the greatest masters of the English Renaissance and Baroque – on the occasion of the upcoming Day of the Dead – to explore the stations of mourning, release and final peace. The concert will feature works by Henry Purcell, Thomas Tallis, William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons and Thomas Morley, which, instead of anger and despair, convey the purity of the otherworldly existence and the reconciliation of the soul. The literary references that organically connect the musical works help the audience to become still, giving a mental arc to the musical journey.
